Rogene Emmil de Vore, age 88, passed away peacefully of natural causes on April 1, 2026, at his son's residence.
Rogene was born on May 18, 1937, in Wabash, Indiana, to Eugene Emmil de Vore and Josephine Mae (Hollenbeck) de Vore. He was devoted to his family and took great pride in the life and legacy he built through them.
Rogene was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Jean (Mattice) de Vore, who passed away on March 31, 2022, and by his daughter, Debbie Jean (de Vore) Kovash, who passed away on January 1, 2016.
He is survived by his two children: his son Eugene Emmil de Vore and Gene's wife Jennifer; and his daughter Lisa Marie (de Vore) Hermansen and her husband Thomas Hermansen. He is also survived by six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom were a great source of joy and pride in his life.
A memorial service will be held at Hillside Chapel, located at 1306 7th Street, Oregon City, Oregon 97045, on April 23, 2026. Viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life.
Rogene will be remembered for his love of family and the quiet strength with which he lived his life.
