Obituary

Rosalee J. Davis was born in Portland, Oregon to Rosalee J. and Thomas E. Allen. She and her three siblings lived in several parts of Oregon before she graduated from Milwaukie High School.

Rosie lived a full, generous life and will be missed by her family and friends, especially her three grandchildren: Sean, Conor and Shannon. She is survived by her son Casey, wife Iris and three children, Boston, MA; sister Virginia Foster, Milwaukie, OR; sister Pat Hanna, Portland, OR; sister Lynne Eder, Eatonville, WA; and brother Tom Allen, Otis, OR. Rosalee died of complications from a stroke.

In 1948 Rosalee married Wayne Davis and with son Casey, lived mainly in Tacoma before settling in Salem, Oregon. She worked for a prominent architect firm for more than 20 years and then moved to Portland where she worked for Northwest Surgical Associates for the next 13 years.

She was a self-educated woman and an avid reader all her life. Rosie enjoyed challenges such as those found in her profession as a full-charge bookkeeper, Sudoku and crossword puzzles (in ink), coin and stamp collecting, and beautiful cross stitch creations.

At her request, there will be no service. To honor Rosie's habit of generosity, please send remembrances to a charity of your choice.
