Sheila Marie was born to Adeline and Henry Klundt on March 29, 1943, in Jamestown, North Dakota. After a childhood spent in North Dakota, Colorado, Minnesota, and Washington she married Robert E. Lehto in 1967. Widowed less than four years later, she married Douglas Hadder in 1974. He passed away in 1986 after 12 years of marriage to Sheila.
Sheila loved learning and attended Columbia Basin College (Pasco, WA), Eastern Washington University (Cheney, WA), Clackamas Community College (Oregon City, OR), and Portland State University (Portland, OR). She became a Registered Nurse and earned her Masters of Social Work.
Volunteering was always a large part of her life beginning in her teenage years. She enjoyed working with the Cub Scouts and Bluebirds, and she eventually became a summer camp nurse. Sheila loved children and always made space for them in her life.
She is survived by her siblings: Randy Klundt (Texas), Doug Lockard (Washington), Bill Lockard (Washington), and Marjie Sloan (Oregon). Her youngest brother David Lockard (Oregon) preceded her in death. Her son Steve Hadder (North Carolina), daughter-in-law Lynnette, and grandchildren Sai Fon, Athena, Joey, and Dougy also survive her. Sheila was also blessed with four great grandchildren: Khione, SJ, Ari, and Ambrose.
She requested that those who wish to honor her life make contributions to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
