Shirley was the daughter of Edmund and Nellie Peik Born December 17, 1924 in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Shirley graduated from the West Linn High School in 1942. She married Harold Burnett December 9, 1945. They had four children and were married for 52 years until her husband Harold passed in 1997. She enjoyed walking, crafting, garage sailing, gardening, camping and her church activities. She was an active volunteer at the Oregon City Senior Center. She was kind and gentle lady and found joy in the success and happiness of her family. She was a Godly woman full of the grace, love, hope, and strength of God. She is survived by her brother Wilbur Peik of Oregon City, Her four children Wes Burnett of Portland, Donna Wright of Milwaukie, Rose Chapin of Oregon City, and Bob Burnett of Gladstone; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at Hillside Chapel 1306 7th Street, Oregon City, Friday December 23rd, 2011 at 11AM.
