Stanley Louis Schwabauer, 86, passed away on October 27, 2023, at Meridian Park Hospital in Tualatin, OR. Stanley was born on August 2, 1937, to Louis and Mabel Schwabauer of Hubbard, OR.

Stanley met Julia Ann Bany at Canby High School where they graduated in 1955. They both continued their education at Linfield College in McMinnville, OR. On August 2, 1957 they were married at Christ Lutheran Church, Aurora, OR. In July 1958 they had their first child, Stanley Scott Schwabauer. Julie became a stay-at-home mother, while Stan went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from Linfield in 1959. Also, in August of 1959, LeAnn was born and the family moved to Warrenton where Stan started his teaching career at Warrenton High School. There he coached basketball, football, and baseball. In Warrenton he met Darrell Greenlee and Byron Olson of whom they became lifelong friends. The following year Stan moved his family to West Linn. The couple had two more children, Pamela Kae in 1961 and Susan Rae in 1962. Stan taught at West Linn High School for 31 years. At WLHS he coached wrestling, football, baseball, and taught many subjects (including Drivers Education) to many students throughout the years. Stan retired in 1991.

Stan was a great mentor to many students from whom he still receives kind words and stories of fond memories of their years together. He loved to teach and coach, but he also supported his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at many sporting and school events. He was a member of the West Linn Lions Club for many years. One of his specialties was to 'salt the sauerkraut' he helped make for the WL Lions Club Annual Sauerkraut Feed. He was also a team member of the WL Lions Annual Bowl-a-Thon for Oregon Sight and Hearing and received multiple awards throughout his many years of service. In addition, Stan was a member of the Oregon City Elks. Stan was a charter member at West Linn Lutheran Church where he was a faithful follower of God's Word.

Stan's favorite past times included tending to his rose garden and vegetable gardens. He cherished his time spent camping with his family and friends. Some of his favorite trips included clamming at Fort Stevens, where it was not unheard of to have 40+ people gather for a fried clam breakfast. He enjoyed working with his good friends Don Schmeiser and crew, on remodeling projects. Stan and Julie enjoyed their many friendships that developed over the years by playing countless card games, celebrating 'snow days', watching football on TV, picnicking around the pool, and traveling in their motor home across the United States.

Stan loved farming. He was raised on a farm and even worked for many years on his family's farm during the summer breaks from school. In 2018, Stan and Julie moved to Steve and Sue Harvey's farm, where he continued to enjoy the 'farm life' until his death.

Stanley L Schwabauer is survived by his wife Julie Schwabauer, daughters, LeAnn (Kevin) Beebehiser, Pamela (Jeff) Smith, Susan (Steve) Harvey, daughter -in-law Jean Schwabauer Emch, Grandchildren, Stacy Schwabauer, Brett (Brittany) Schwabauer, Kenyon (Ashley) Beebehiser, Kyndra Beebehiser, Kayla Beebehiser, Kyler Beebehiser, Brooke (Bradley) Snook, Brannon (Rachael) Smith, Braden (Nicole) Smith, Brittany Smith, Johnny Harvey, Jacob Harvey, Emma Harvey, Great Grandchildren, Cailyn, Landon, Kinsley, Rylan, and Harlow Schwabauer, Riley Smith. Brother, Kenneth Allen Schwabauer, and many nieces and nephews.

Stanley is preceded in death by Louis Schwabauer - father, Mabel Schwabauer - mother, Stanley Scott Schwabauer - son. The service for Stanley Schwabauer will be held on November 18, 2023, at West Linn Lutheran Church at 1pm. Private Family Burial: Belle Passi Memorial Mausoleum, Woodburn, OR.
