On Thursday, January 26th Thelma Jones passed away at home at the age of 84. Thelma was born in Parma, Idaho on February 5, 1938, to parents Tom Search and Kathryn Serles. She was the youngest of 13 children. She attended Adrian high school where she met and fell in love with Guy Jones. They married shortly after graduation on June 20th, 1956, and went on to have four children. They moved to Oregon City in 1969 where they worked hard to build their dream home, and would later go on to raise three generations of their family there. Thelma's greatest joy in life was her family. She has been reunited in heaven with her son Terry Jones, and her beloved husband Guy Jones. She is survived by sons Tim Jones, Chris Jones, daughter DeeAnn Jones, her grandchildren Brandy Goetz, Brittany Wheeler, Ashley Jones, William Jones, and her great grandchildren Jazmynne Wheeler, Jordyn Goetz, Alexis Marroquin, Ireland Adams, and Colton Goetz. Her service will be held at Hillside Chapel Saturday, February 11th at 11 AM, followed by graveside burial service at Redland Pioneer Cemetery, and concluding with a reception at the Evergreen Community Church.
