Timothy Malcolm Brown was born to David & Fern Brown on October 24, 1948 in Oregon City, Oregon. He had five older brothers: Dave, Tom, Pete, Joe and Ernie.

Tim grew up in Oregon City and attended Mt. Pleasant Elementary, Barclay Grade School, Thora B. Gardiner Junior High and graduated from Oregon City High School in 1967. Not long after he graduated, he received his draft notice. He quickly headed for the Navy Recruiting office and enlisted for the next four years. He served as a Gunner's Mate on several destroyers – the USS Blue, USS Turner Joy (which is now a museum in Bremerton) and the USS Collette (he was assigned to help decommission this one). He did three tours of Vietnam.

After being discharged from the Navy, Tim returned home and eventually got into the Millwright apprenticeship program. He worked a variety of jobs in paper mills and any other jobs that required maintaining or installing heavy equipment.

Tim was introduced by a mutual friend to Pam Fredrickson in June of 1976. It didn't take long to realize they were meant for each other. After dating for six weeks, Tim proposed and they were married 4 months later. They lived in a house that Tim had bought in Gladstone, but when they were expecting their first baby, they moved to Oregon City.

Tim & Pam welcomed their son, Dustin (Dusty), in 1977 and their daughter, Darcy was born in 1979. Not wanting to be out of town for jobs, Tim decided to leave construction work so he wouldn't have to be away from his family. He went to work for Oregon Portland Cement in Lake Oswego and worked there until the plant closed. His next job was as a maintenance mechanic for Clackamas County Wastewater Treatment Plant. He retired in 2005 after 26 years with the county.

Tim was the best husband, father and grandfather. He loved the Lord and his family deeply. He was a Dad to many who needed him. He had a caring heart and hard-working attitude. You could always expect a big bear hug from him. He will be missed so much.

Tim is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pam; son Dusty (Karen), daughter Darcy (Christopher) Reeves; grandchildren Dominik & Sage; brothers Pete & Joe; sisters-in-law Becky Bowker, Delores Brown, Laura Brown, Karen Brown & Shelli Brown, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Tim in death: His parents; brothers Dave, Tom & Ernie; sisters-in-law, Janette Brown, Jean Priest & brother-in-law Gary Bowker.
