We gather today to celebrate and remember Tyler.
Tyler was more than just a son. He was a father, brother, uncle, cousin, grandson, and stepson. He was a person of immense kindness and unwavering loyalty.
His quick wit and infectious smile could light up any room. His kindness touched everyone he met. Being around Tyler was always an adventure. He was always willing to offer a helping hand, share a laugh or provide a shoulder to lean on. His passion for life was evident. Rules were meant to be broken, speed limits were a suggestion, and fast cars were there to get him quickly to his family and friends.
Tyler had the ability to find joy in the smallest things and spread that joy to others. He grew up in Oregon City, Oregon after moving there as a little boy with his dad, Joe, and his sister, Tiffany. Born in Portland, Oregon on a hot summer day July 16th, 1991, to Joseph P. Anderson and Fawna R. Bright. He graduated from Oregon City High School in 2009 and went on to become a landscaper working for Hud Housing.
Tyler faced challenges with a grin and a shrug. Often saying "I got this," and "don't worry I'll figure this out." And sure enough, he always did. Tyler was an avid fan of the football teams the 49ers and the Oregon Ducks. He always believed Sasquatch walks among us, and was comforted by the ocean, lakes, and a good campfire.
Tyler became a father at 24 years old to Jamie Ann Marie Anderson, along with two other daughters Chloe Stevens and Zoe Stevens, though he never married. He always enjoyed trucks, so he got his CDL to make his grandpa proud. He has been a garbage truck driver for the past nine years, finishing at Portland Disposal and Recycling.
His resilience in the face of challenges was truly inspiring, teaching us all the value of perseverance and optimism. He had a larger-than-life personality.
Ty, we will miss your bear hugs, late night conversations, and silly inside jokes.
Thank you for being your parents' favorite son and the best friend anyone could ask for. Your spirit will live on in the lives you touched.

Tyler is survived in death by Jamie Anderson, daughter. Chloe and Zoe Stevens, daughters. James and Fawna Wilhelm, parents. Jamison Torez, brother. Tiffany and Brandon Hussey, Harper, Hudson, Holdon, and Hannah.
