Obituary

Veronica Radosevich Hollowell passed away on January 12, 2018. A private graveside service will be held.

"Vera" was born October 12, 1923 in Gallup, NM. At an early age the family moved to Superior, AZ where they lived until coming to Oregon City in 1936.

Vera graduated from Oregon City High School in 1942. She immediately went to work at General Electric Supply in Portland. Later she worked for the War Price and Rationing Board which was in the City Hall on 7th St. in Oregon City. While employed there, she met Errol Hollowell (Joe) who had come home from a leave on a 3-day pass. They were married in Spokane, WA on May 13, 1944. After marriage, she became a clerk at the Oregon City Water Department until her first child arrived. She loved being a stay at home mother! Vera and Errol were married for 56 ½ years.

She had a playful and competitive spirit and loved playing cards with her 2nd family at Berry Park Retirement home.

Vera is survived by two daughters, Marianne Aughenbaugh and Cathleen Postlewait (Wayne), grandsons Tom Miller (Lisa) and Ben Postlewait (Beth), sister Clarann Lasic, sister-in-law Virginia Radosevich, as well as many close relatives that were very special to her. She will be forever missed. Our heart-felt gratitude to Bristol Hospice for all their loving care.
