On May 16th, 2023, Ginger Julison held her beloved husband in her arms as he transitioned into the arms of our Heavenly Father. He passed at home due to complications from heart surgery. "Big Juli" has been a long time resident of Oregon City, Oregon. He was 80.
Wade was born on May 26, 1942, in Grand Forks, North Dakota to father Steve Julison and mother Bonnie Dietz. He attended Lincoln Highs School in Portland, Oregon. Shortly after graduation he joined the Army as a military policeman and was stationed over in Germany for two years. Not long after returning home, after honorably serving his Country, he was out at a tavern celebrating his return to the Pacific Northwest. It was closing time and Wade noticed that one of the cocktail waitresses was being harassed by a drunk patron outside. Wanting to help this beautiful cocktail waitress, Wade decided to holler out her, "Hey Sis, Mom is waiting for us," and jumped in the Ginger's convertible Alpine Sunbeam, acting as if he was her bother. Wedding Bells for Wade Julison and Ginger Krieger were soon to follow, and they recently celebrated 55 years of a blessed marriage.
Dick Bader the owner of ACME hired Wade as his first employee. Wade spent many years working at ACME and Portland Fasteners. He started his career selling and loading roof materials and then became a manager and remained a manager through many buyouts. Wade started his career and ended his career being employed by Dick Bader. "Big Juli" was fondly referred to as Driver #1.
"Big Juli" was a natural athlete and was great at every sport he tried! He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working in the yard, but his true passion was spending time with his family and friends. Wade was a very thoughtful husband and father and would spend countless hours meticulously planning family vacations that would become blessed memories to last a lifetime. A couple of his favorite spots to spend time with family and friends was at Park Place Church and Lost Lake, by Mt Hood. Wade had many fond memories from high school and always loved attending the reunions. Wade never met a stranger. He was a fantastic story teller. He loved life. He had a big beautiful smile and a distinctive hearty laugh. God has probably made him head greeter at the Pearly Gates.
Wade is survived by his wife Ginger Julison; his sons Mark and Miles Julison; his daughter Tamara Brown; and daughter-in-laws Katie Julison and Nancy Doyle; his grandchildren Chris, Michael, Noel, Noah, Phoenix, and Stryder; granddaughter-in-law Laney and great grandchildren Nolan and Lyla; his brothers Bill and Tom Baker; and his sister-in-laws Bonnie Faddis and Barbara Baker. He was preceded in death by his parents Steve Julison, Bonnie Baker, and John Baker; his brother Pat Baker; his sister Judith Hawes and daughter-in-law Angela LaBelle.

Celebration of Life for Wade Julison will be held on June 23rd, at 3:00 PM at Park Place Church in Oregon City, Oregon on 13933 Gain Street. At a later date he will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland Oregon.
