On June 11, 1944 he married the love of his life, Glenna Fae DeWalt. They briefly lived in Manson, WA, and Baker, OR before spending the majority of their loving 67 year marriage in West Linn, OR. Wayne worked at the Crown Zellerbach paper mill, was a member of the Oregon City Police Department, volunteered in the West Linn Fire Department, and spent 8 years in the Oregon National Guard. Beginning in 1951, he worked for Pierce Freight Lines and other trucking companies until retiring in 1984. Wayne is survived by his wife Glenna, 2 sisters (Eunice Lewis of Chelan, WA, and Genevieve Knorr or Spokane, WA), 4 children (Donna M. Schmutzler, Janice L. Rushing, Douglas W. Spray and Rodney G.
