Zelpha Iona Lowry (Mott, Hewitt, Protz), 1/25/1921 – 2/18/2019
At the age of 98 Zelpha went home to be the Lord.
Zelpha was a bursar at Hochstein Music School. When she retired shortly after the death of he rhusband, Perry A. Protz, she moved west to be near family.
In 1980 she volunteered at the South West Indian School, in Peoria Arizona where she met her husband, Alvin Lowry. They were married for 24 happy years.
She moved to Beavercreek, Oregon in October of 2007, after the death of Alvin Lowry, where she resided 'till her passing. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded by her husband of 24 years and her daughter Sharon B La Macchio. She is survived by her children Charles I. Hewitt Jr., Larry E. Hewitt (Valores), Valarie J. Smith (Gerald), and Shelly J. Thompkins (Allen).
21 grandchildren, Suzette Meirer, Shawn Ferguson (Shastine), Scott Ferguson (Dawn), James La Macchio (Anglee), Jennifer La Macchio, Laurie Doolin (Roger), Donald Phillips (Susan),Dale Phillips (Karen), David Phillips (April), Hope Bronisz, Heather Bronisz (Mark), Andrea Tapley, David Townley, Wendy Billings (John), Karl Townley, Sara Van Gorder, Christine Jones (Michael) ,Chad Smith (Kirsten), and Casey Smith (Christina), Travis Townley (Lynn), and Todd Townley (Alysia). She had 37 great-grandchildren and more great- great grandchildren.
